Amazon Kindle 2022 Review: A Comprehensive Guide

A Comprehensive Look at Design, Display, Software, Performance, and Battery Life.

A Review of the 11th-Generation Amazon Kindle 2022

Introduction The 11th-generation Amazon Kindle 2022 is an e-reader that has been my travel companion and late-night reading device for about a month. It is a significant improvement over its predecessor in many ways. In this review, I will describe the device’s design, display, software, performance, and battery life, and explain what you need to know before upgrading or buying a new Kindle.

As a tech reviewer, I have to say that the Amazon Kindle 2022 is an impressive device. The Kindle 2022 is lighter, more portable, and offers a USB-C port, which is a significant upgrade from the previous model.

Design and Display: Very Impressive

The design and display of the device are impressive. It is lighter, more pocketable, and the display resolution is excellent, making the text legible and readable in any lighting condition. The display is recessed under the bezels, which can collect dust, but this isn’t a big deal. The Kindle 2022’s four LED system serves the screen size well, and you can read comfortably on the beach or by the pool.

The latest Amazon Kindle 2022 is a compact device that is lighter and more portable than its predecessor. It features a 6-inch display with a 300ppi resolution that makes text more legible, but the screen is still recessed under the bezels, making it prone to collecting dust. The Kindle 2022 offers a USB-C port, making it more convenient to charge as it can be charged with the same wire as your Android smartphone or laptop. However, the device is not waterproof, so you must be extra careful with it near water bodies.

How Good Is the Software : Excellent

The Kindle 2022 runs Amazon’s updated UI that was introduced in 2021. It offers two options: Home and Library. The Library option is preferable as it allows you to sort books by various criteria and view them in grid, list, or collection form. The UI allows you to adjust the spacing, screen refresh option, and toggle the book cover display option to set the cover of the book you are currently reading as the screensaver. The UI can be confusing, however, as to go back to Home from the book, you need to tap at the top for the option to show up.

What about the Performance and Battery Life : Excellent

The Kindle 2022 is faster than its predecessor and features double the storage at 16GB. It lasts up to six weeks with daily 30 minutes of use, but it lasted two months on a single charge with sporadic use. The device also allows you to connect earbuds or headphones via the accessibility settings if you want the book to be read to you.

Key Features:

  • Kindle is now the lightest and most compact with a 300 ppi high-resolution display
  • Glare-free, paper-like display for comfortable reading
  • Adjustable front light and dark mode for effortless reading day and night
  • Distraction-free device specifically made for reading
  • Extended battery life – lasts up to 6 weeks on a single charge via USB-C
  • Double the storage capacity of the previous generation with 16 GB
  • Kindle Unlimited offers unlimited access to over 2 million titles, thousands of audiobooks, and more
  • Designed with sustainability in mind using recycled plastics and magnesium, and 100% recyclable device packaging

In conclusion, the Amazon Kindle 2022 is a significant improvement over its predecessor. It is more portable, has better performance, and features a USB-C port. However, the device is not waterproof, and the UI can be confusing. The device is an excellent option for anyone who wants a compact and affordable e-reader. Get lost in your favorite stories with the new Kindle – the lightest and most compact yet, with a glare-free display and adjustable front light. Extended battery life and 16 GB storage capacity. Sustainable design with recycled materials
